Fitzgerald & Halliday, Inc. is seeking a full time Business Development Assistant to provide general support for the marketing and business development efforts for the entire firm. This role is based out of our corporate headquarters in CT. We are looking for a smart, energetic, and forward-thinking individual who will be responsible for producing and assembling a variety of business development proposals, presentations, and supporting documents.
The Business Development Assistant will work with key leaders every day and be challenged to use their talents and points of view to inspire others and turn opportunity into success. The ideal candidate will use their unique perspective, skills, and background to help us see things differently, grow as a company, and communicate how we will meet the ever-changing needs of our partners. The candidate must have the ability to work under pressure and deadlines with a calm and positive attitude.
Core responsibilities include:
Meet deadlines while balancing long-term assignments against daily responsibilities and adapting to changing priorities or unexpected interruptions.
Lead the proposal process, managing all aspects of the proposal as well as providing overall quality assurance Read and analyze RFPs and edit proposal content for readability, consistency, clarity, and compliance with requirements, minimizing style differences from multiple authors and contributors.
Review documents for grammar, spelling, readability, and tone.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date firm marketing information to streamline access to information for pursuits.
Create business development documents and forms
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing for the A/E/C industry would be a plus.
The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Ability to multi-task with efficient and effective time management skills
Prior experience with custom proposals for state, municipal, federal, and other miscellaneous proposal formats preferred
Advanced knowledge of and efficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work with multiple concurrent deadlines; prioritize and effectively manage time.
Top-notch organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, multi-tasking and decision-making skills
