Resolutions for a New Decade
Happy 2020 Everyone!
Wow, it’s not just a new year, it is a new decade! It is also that time of year when we make our resolutions for the future. Since it is a new decade, I’m thinking our resolutions should be that much bolder. So, in the spirit of boldness, here are FHI’s 2020 resolutions:
At FHI we resolve to:
- Refresh and enhance our brand to clearly reflect who FHI is today and into the coming decade
- Become increasingly intentional about maintaining and enhancing a strong culture that our employees and clients can feel
- Live our core values every day – in how we treat each other, our clients, and the people in the communities in which we work
- Continue to work every day to improve communities; for everyone who lives, works, and plays there!
The truth is, these resolutions are not new for FHI. Yet, at the beginning of each year, we take the opportunity to remind ourselves to think about our purpose as a firm; and more importantly how we live that purpose every day in our decisions and behaviors.
2020 is shaping up to be a year (and decade) of great uncertainty, where many of our institutional norms and principles are being challenged. At FHI, we resolve not to succumb to the current divisive tone in our country and to continue to approach our projects with respect for everyone’s unique needs and perspective and a deep belief that each and every person brings value to our communities.
Happy new year - and happy new decade!
